What unites us and what divides us? Business prospects between Swedes and Poles

The situation related to dynamic changes within economic, business and culture, forces us to look at many aspects that concern business relations between for example, Poles and Swedes.

Finding common business areas, that are supported by emphasis on the same values and the desire to create a future that is heading in the same direction, is the basis for successful, international relationships.

Ecology

To begin with, a hot topic, which is the foundation of a responsible business. Concerns related to the environment affect all of us, and actions companies are carrying out should be geared towards solutions that contribute to the prevention of environmental degradation.

Sweden has many successes in this area, which gives Poles, as well as other European countries, great room for inspiration. What can Poland offer Swedes in the context of ecology? Poland is an excellent country for investment in renewable energy sources and technologies that can help in the fight against challenges our environment is facing. Sweden can be for Poland a country that, thanks to its investments, will not only further raise awareness in this matter but above all, introduce practical solutions that will make Polish business greener.

Localism

The turn towards localism has been observed in Sweden for quite a long time. Giving a chance to lesser-known products from entrepreneurs who are guided by the heart in choosing every single ingredient or creating a recipe, is a source of pride for Swedes.

However, Sweden is not limiting only to local products from its regions. Swedish entrepreneurs are well aware that such a large minority of Poles who live in Sweden are a reason to invest not only in local brands, but also Polish.

All these dependencies give Poland and Sweden great room for cooperation, where both countries can exchange local products, as well as make sure these products are a showcase of each culture.

Female entrepreneurship

The policies of countries committed to ensuring women’s rights and levelling opportunities on the labor market, are important for both Poland and Sweden. In Sweden, attention is paid to gender equality as well as equality within the professional life. While in Poland women are still not so often filled in top positions, they certainly do not lack entrepreneurship.

According to a report by the Mastercard Index of Women Enterpeneurs, Polish women are among the most enterprising women in the world. The national flexibility and ability to adjust to various conditions pays off and triggers large amounts of entrepreneurship, which is greatly beneficial in relations with the Swedes.

The business prospects between these countries, despite some nuances, are huge. Especially tempting are those areas that promote localism and responsible approach to business, ecology, and equality. Products and services related to these areas have a great opportunity on the Swedish market, as long as it is ensured that the reaching out to selected, potential business partners takes place in mutual understanding and their values and priorities are being respected.
